I recently noticed on my Blackberry that when browsing the net I was being charged for this. i understood the amount of R59 per month for BIS should include browsing the net, social network sites and BBM at least that what I was told when I signed a contract withh Vodacom.

Upon quering this with the Vodacom call centre even their agents were not aware of this. I was taken through a process twice to register my phone on the network until I called the third time and was advised that Vodacom has changed their terms & conditions regarding BIS without notifying customers. Vodacom now only offers BBM for R59 per month and not anything else. I dont mind if they take away the free browsing service but adjust your rates accordingly dont charge clients the same amount and deliver less than half of what was promised initially.

I checked with other network providers and they charge lower rates for the BBM service between R25 and R30 Vodacom is charging double that. I will definately be changing service providers when my contract comes to an end in a few months time and will definately make other people aware of Vodacom.
