I have been to samsung store in midrand, mtn store in eastgate, and sent to Mtn repair centre at 145 Northrand road in Boksburg- TWICE! also cellphone repair stores for assistance as MTN has been no help what so ever. This has taken me days upon days not to mention the price of petrol.
I Have a samsung gio, straight out of the box. it wont work with any other network other than Mtn, which i thought was odd as network locking this phone is not legal in south africa.. This is an MTn issue but iv had MUCH more help from vodacom stores. I went to the repair centre in boksburg twice and 'Thato' who promised to email me and call me with feedback has not done so. I demand that Mtn assist me in finding out if this phone has been /recovered or what the issue is that is has been locked to Mtn. I want this information as i am not willing to implicate myself by registering with my ID a Rica Mtn simcard and using this phone if its goods, i have a perfect record- it is my Legal right to request this information from the network that has locked and dealt with this phone. pls contact me asap- [Email Removed]
