My Samsung S4 cellphone was handed in a week ago at the Samsung service centre in Teakfield road for the cracked screen to be replaced. After making enquiries via their very helpful call centre man I eventually was told that their repair technicians are waiting for replacement screens and that they are only due in another 10 days from now.
One reason that I got the Samsung was that their demonstrator told me that they have a repair centre where they will repair the phone while the customer waits. That repair centre also is waiting for screens, so it looks as if the phone will take about 3 weeks to repair.
I have subsequently been told by several of my colleagues that these are brittle screens, so probably there has been a rush of repairs. Not a good advert for Samsung - pity because it is a great phone to use but simply too delicate.
