I am a contract subscriber with MTN and have been for several years. My Blackberry handset was on the 02/02/2013 while in Jhb, and MTN have since blocked the sim, blacklisted the phone and performed a sim swap (MTN Ref # 9667 6427 & ICT # 1331 8972 to blacklist the handset), an upgrade was done on the 05/02/13. The complaint is directed at the Blackberry Support Centre (Ref #6211164, consultant Kagiso Monyatsi) whom todate have not blacklisted the blackberry pin linked to the handset. The documentation had been e-mailed by myself and the MTN Bluff store on 04/02/2013 to [Email Removed] The documentation supplied included the following: Copy of Driver's licence, copy of ID, certified copy of the affidavit, copy of the box reflecting the IMEI and PIN particulars. This was a contract phone, therefore MTN have records on file confirming the phone issued to myself via the signed contract. Blackberry Support REFUSES to blacklist the BB PIN. The MTN store itself cannot seem to assist any further in the matter after having tried themselves.
