Why isn't there any ADSL support?

Hi,

I purchased a property not to long ago in Rooihuiskraal North x36 and needed to get an ADSL connection up and running as soon as possible.

Eventually when I got hold of Telkom, I was told that they can only provide me with a telephone line.

So my problem is, how can such a densely populated area not have ADSL support?
There are 4/5 estates in the area, you telling me there is no interest for an ADSL connection?

This needs to get fixed ASAP, especially seeing as Telkom is the monopoly.
