I was robbed by gunpoint and knife on Monday, 04 February 2013. That evening I called 8ta's call centre to suspend my SIM as I did not want any calls made from it. I spoke to Sunitha and she said the system is delayed but she will call me once it is done - Im still waiting. I called again on Tuesday, 05 February 2013 and spoke to Zandela and Msizi with a promise that they will call back - I am still waiting. Please note that the SIM is still not suspended. I went to the 8ta store on Wednesday, 06 February 2013 and the lady told me I need my proof of residence and ID after waiting for 2 (two) hours for service. I went in today, 07 February 2013 after waiting for 1 (one) hour she gave me another SIM and told me the swop is not done as the previous SIM is not suspended. I called the call centre again and spoke to Sanele, he told me it would take up to 72 hours to cancel all the orders and suspend the SIM. This is a week later after my initial call. Who is responsible should any calls from my SIM be made? How am I suspose to function without a SIM for a week? 8ta please do not tell me I have to go back to wait for another hour for a SIM swop at an 8ta store. Crazy service.
