In 2013 I received a bill for R 5506.73 for my 3G data card. My monthly subscription was R 185. Roderick Lategan came back to me with this ' Notwithstanding the above, as a valuable customer of ours, and therefore without admission of liability and purely as a once-off gesture of goodwill, Vodacom Service Provider is prepared to discount your account for the amount of R 3377.73 (incl. VAT).' I accepted. I changed my 3G data contract to 500mb with top up. When I checked my data bundle balance on 01/02/2014 the balance was zero. It should reset to 500mg at the beginning of every month. It would appear that I have been charged out of bundle rates, resulting in the R 5506.73. Clearly Vodacom are in breach of contact. On 02/02/2014 I wrote to Roderick requesting that he refund me the R 1629 being the remainder of the R 5506.73. Further I requested cancelletion of the contract. To date he has not responded.
