How long is long enough??

I have been trying to phone 10210 to change my ADSL service for a week now. I have been on hold for 11 minutes and hung up. Yesterday I waited 15 minutes before hanging up. Today the line finally went dead after 31 mins and 24 seconds. Should I try for longer tomorrow?

"The operators are busy and will get to you as soon as they are available." or something like that is what entices you to hang on just a little bit longer. But to no avail it seems. I tried going to the TELKOM shop just to be told that I need to call the number to change the service. They have phone I can use if I like...
