Vodacom refuse to assist me! cant get any answers

What I wrote to Vodacom whose only response is tough luck - pay up!
My iphone does not work on 3G and only 3G. I have full functionality including wifi and 4G (when I am in your Sandton City Vodacare or wandering around the Cape Town waterfront). Technically my phone is out of warranty because the contract is (was on submission 11 Jan) 2 weeks over the 1 year warranty period, but in reality the phone is 6 months or less (returned the last one because the sound was faulty).
Questions :
o Why is my phone not working on 3G tantamount to you wanting to charge me R3000 for a new handset?
o We all know that you do not open iPhones to repair them so why do you keep the phone 10 working days (I have called you every second day) when I explain the issue with the phone upfront. The vodacare lady whom I spoke with this morning would also like to know this.
And why could I not book my phone in in CT when I live in JHB?
More than anything I need to understand how you are making the phone not working on 3G my problem i.e the phone has never been dropped / exposed to heat / wate
