I went to the store on Friday the 24 of January 2013 at 5 pm waited in the que to be told by the first available assistant that he has to leave because his day is over.
I then proceed to wait another 20 mins to buy was a replacement nano sim for an iPhone but on prepaid not contract basis, as I had recently been robbed at gun point of my cell phone and other belongings. I was then informed by the one of the remaining sales assistants that nano sims are only available for contract customers and I find this hard to believe as 10 months prior to this fact I had I had bought a pre paid nano sim and was using until I was robbed.
I informed the sales assistant that I had been an MTN customer all my life as a cell phone user and asked if there is anyway I would be able to obtain a nano sim to stay a mtn customer and was told there was nothing that can be done.
So I walked into the Vodacom store in the same Norwood shopping center and walked out with my prepaid nano sim. I now am a vodka com customer
It was very unsettling to be treated as unimportant by MTN purely because I am on a prepaid basis and you have lost a customer and future customers due to me retelling my experience
