I moved from JHB to CPT in July, but I left my web-africa managed line in place for my brother to use.
1. Before the end of September I put in a line cancellation request with Web Africa for 31 Oct 2013. They confirmed cancellation on 1 Oct.
2. 3 Oct, I asked the question (#1728605) about transferring my line to CPT. WA answered YES it can be done, but took the unapproved initiative of transferring the line back to telkom (I clearly did not ask for it).
3. 8 Oct I got billed by telkom for the line, AND WA billed me for the line. 11 Oct I complained. 15 Oct I got a credit note (#1735463) on WA side to cover the cost of the telkom (as it was unapproved move to telkom).
4. Shortly after I got the credit note, I asked them to confirm if the ADSL line will STILL BE CANCELLED on the 1 NOV. 15 Oct they (Jean-Paul van Diemel) confirmed yes it will no need to worry.
5. 8 Nov I get my second bill, showing the ADSL line is still active and I was billed form 9 Nov - 8 Dec. This means they never cancelled the line after confirming it.
6. I am now trying to get a credit note again to no avail.
7. While this is going on, PREPAID accounts i HAVE PAID FOR are suspended!
written trail of proof.
