Dear Sir/Madam,
I have a land line subscription at Telkom (prerequisite for ADSL). My ISP (Web Africa) however managed my ADSL line.
I moved to a new apartment at the end of November 2013, hence my land line needed to be relocated.
I have tried reaching a Telkom consultant numerous times since then with no success. I have been placed on hold for nearly 8 hours in total.
In addition, I made an online request for a line transfer at the start of December 2013. Telkom promptly responded, informing me that the request cannot be completed until my ISP transfers control of my ADSL line back to Telkom (which was done the following day).
Afterwards I submitted an online request for a line transfer again, I have not had any response. I again phoned the call center multiple time with no response.
The new tenants at my old apartment can now freely use my land line if they wish to do so.
I am still being billed for the land line service, which I can not use. Furthermore, since Web Africa transferred control of my ADSL line back to Telkom, my monthly Telkom bill has increased by roughly R450 for service costs (ADSL I presume). Again, a service which I can not use.
Please advice.
Regards
