Telkom ADSL line booking and installation

Applied for an ADSL installation via 10210 (Telkom) approximately 10/11 Sept. Superb service. The pre-requisite for the installation application to be approved. Infra-structure found to be in place. Were also informed that we would receive daily SMS progress feedback. Was checked, confirmed and process approved/completed, including credit checks. SMS confirming & order (85614798) was received. Telephone call, informed installation would be on 17 Sept. On 16 Sept. received SMS that installation was to take place on 16 Sept, later informed the wrong number was allocated and needs to be rectified first. Since then, we have not received any SMS feedback. Every time we enquire, we are informed that it is difficult and takes time to change the number. Further follow up's/ queries, eventually results in one answer, there is no infrastructure, we will have to wait till next year sometime. Upon querying how the installation was approved, the answer given Quote " was that it was wrong, sorry, that is how it is "Unquote". We live in a "Duet" (2) houses, our neighbour has an ADSL line, surely the infrastructure is in place, and surely the application would not have been approved. Query stays.
