On 25 January 2013 our Telkom Cables in the area were @ 00h53. I immediately logged fault 1CWZ250113. January 30, 2013 I received a sms that the fault will be repaired on 13 Feb 2013. There is no TELKOM vehicle in our vicinity. We also think that more of this cable has been since.
This is almost THREE (3) weeks later. We also have uncapped ADSL which we pay for but have no TELKOM service.
We in the area would like to know why Telkom does not supply us with SATELITE LINES as this cable happens about 4 or more times per year. Each time we are without Telkom line for up to two-three weeks. (Friends in Betty's Bay have Satelite TELKOM for the laste TEN (10) years!)
We also have businesses to run as farming is our business. This however makes it almost impossible.
It also does not help to phone the call centre as there is nobody who can assist with this.
We - as the farming community - in the area would like to get a response - PLEASE.
