I went into the Telkom store in the Vaal Mall to arrange to have my line moved from Sasolburg to Joburg, was put through to their call centre.

I was moving on the weekend (5th April), it was confirmed that they would get to it on the Monday (8th April) latest Tuesday.

On Wednesday (10th) I received a SMS saying that my ADSL could not be connected due to "congestion" in the area waited a week, called them, was then told that they do not have an ADSL or telephone line for me (in Weltevredenpark, Roodepoort, ) but that they will forward me to the technical dept.

Spoke to the technical dept, was told that they are working on it and will get back to me.

Called them again on the 16th May, to be told that due to the high rate of of copper lines in the area they cannot help me at this time, they are busy replacing the lines with fibre optic cable and would be getting to my area as per the schedule. When asked about the schedule, could not give me a date, was told that they have no idea when they can assist me getting a line, or if I would ever get a line.

This with the Telkom pole and lines on my back fence???
