Warranty assesment Device

I recently booked in my new Phone Sony Ericson Xperia T that I acquired from MTN in Melrose Arch.
The device was booked in on the 13th of February 2013 and the lady responsible is Chanel. I explained to Chanel that my device has a problem with the speaker and that the touch screen is also faulty, the device only being 2 weeks old (Purchased on 29th of January 2013). Chanel assisted me with booking in the device and informed me that the process would take 10 working days in some cases more. I asked her if this was really true even for a warranty assessment device, surely it should not take too long. She informed me that that she would let me know. The past week I've been making calls and trips to the Melrose Arch branch given that nobody follows up with me and every single time I am told to expect a call either at a specific time or a specific day I never get the call and I end up having to call them and follow up with them. After speaking to head office (Harry) they confirmed the process has taken far too long and they (in partnership with Melrose arch) would have a response by close of business today 01 March 2013 I am still waiting for that phone call.
