Telkom
Lack of proper communications

I had been a happy Telkom customer until I decided to move in March 2011. I then phone to relocate my services from where I lived to my new home. I was told that there would be no problem and no charge for the relocation.

After 2 months of waiting for my service to be reconnected, I was told that there were no lines.

January 2013 they reconnected my services and my troubles with Telkom started.

1. The lines (phone and ADSL) were intermittent for the first 3 months, particularly the ADSL line.
2. When I saw I could save on data with another service, I chose to migrate my data service. Then the troubles with my accounts began from June to December 2013.
3. When I saw that I could save on my DSL line, I then made another decision to migrate. All I was told was that I would be held hostage for 30 days before this could happen. This todate has still not been achieved (now 12 later) and I receive an account for Contract forfeiture fees of R897.38 Vat incl WITHOUT WARNING AND FOR A SERVICE WHICH HAD I NOT HAD THE 2 YEAR BREAK BECAUSE THEY HAD NO LINES, I WOULD HAVE HAD THE CONTRACT FOR 10 YEARS!!!

How do they justify this action?
