Vodacom
Ripped off by data bill and ignored

I went to Orbit Cellular to open a contract at the beginning of January. My contract was linked to my father's contract, and we spoke to Prudence, the sales person there. She explained all the terms and costs to me very clearly, and stated that she would put a R3500 limit on my contract. I accepted these terms and signed the contract without reading it again, since I trusted what she told me was true. A month ago now my phone got blocked and I got a bill for R16 000. I am completely unable to work without my phone, so my father paid the money to get it unblocked. I heavily dispute this, and think it is utterly wrong for her to have done to me. She stated to me that there would be a R3500 limit on my account. When I got the total, I dug out the contract again and saw that it stated "No Mandatory Limit". This means that she blatantly to my face about putting a limit on my account. I then followed this up with Louisa Du Toit from the Vodacom High Usage department, who merely disregarded my complaints and just stated that the only way that they will be able to help me in the future is by making sure the limit is enforced in the future, and ignored me wanting to lodge a complaint.
