Since December I've been getting sms's that my Cell C account is in arrears. I enquired about this with my sales guy and he confirmed that my account is fine. In early January they cut my phone's service. The call centre did a security check on my account and also confirmed that I'm not outstanding with them. Today they cut my service for the 4th time to only now tell me that when I upgraded, my debit order bounced.
I wouldn't be so upset about this if they had just told me this the first time round back in December when I actually had the money to pay them. Now I have no phone until Monday when I get paid.
What upsets me even more is that I have to now pay a R70 fine for not having paid that outstanding amount in such a long time and that I've been threatened with getting a bad credit record due to that which is completely unacceptable as they should have told me this the first time I enquired about my account which they assured me multiple times is not outstanding with them.
