THREE WEEKS WITHOUT A PHONE

It has now been three weeks that my home phone has been without service. After 10 days I went to my local Telkom Store in Rosebank to question what was going on. I was told: "No worries, we have someone working on the fault and it will be restored soon. We already know about it"

Ten days later and I STILL do not have a home phone that works! What would happen if I had a home invasion? What does this useless Telkom plan to do about it? Nothing!? Having moved to South Africa from London, and before that Miami Beach, I have to say that Telkom is probably the most useless company in the World. They have absolutely no concept of customer service, no sense of urgency and absolutely no credibility. I will of course be charged for "full service" this entire month... If I am charged for this month's service, I will be taking this matter further! Perhaps the best thing to do is to actually cancel my Direct debit and make them wait for the money.

If only there truly was competition, I would sign up with anybody else right now.
