Bad Attitude not willing to assist

I called the Vodacom customer services last night at 10:35, i was having trouble logging into the internet and i called in to get assistance, agent told me that the problem was with the site i was trying to log into and advised me to visit the page again, get their numbers and call them to resolve my query, i asked if he can make sure that my problem is not with the internet instead and he said he couldn't. (normally when i call in about such a problem they transfer me to 082155 and there they assist with trouble shooting and thereafter i can safely say the problem is with the site.) The said agent kept speaking over me and said there is no way they can see this, i asked for his name and surname, and he asked that he SMS it to me along with the internet settings or transfer me to the data department, (Finally he was willing to assist) i asked that he provide it over the phone, he kept spelling it fast and speaking over me as i was trying to make out what he was saying, agent kept back-chatting me and i told him i'd be escalating and the response was do so the call ended with a huge sigh from him and he was kind enough to SMS me his name but never the 'internet settings'.
