Advertising phones they don't have

Good Day

I went to MTN SP Cape Road PE to upgrade my existing MTN phone. I wanted the Samsung Xcover 2 advertised in their brochure until 31st January 2014. I was told sorry no stock and the phone is discontinued!?
My Dad went the first week of December 2013 and was told the same thing. How can you advertise the phone but no stock? I'm taking this up with CPA ombudsman as well now. This is pathetic! Vodacom has stock and can get why not MTN?? Also consultants take are not very willing to help as it is a case of Oh sorry..
Not even trying to source or phone other branches? This is still a current phone with Samsung??
