Vodacom nearly R8000 from me

I opened a prepaid data account nearly a year ago. For R99 per month I received 2 Gb per month. PREPAID. When I was at the point of having used up nearly all data, I would receive an SMS advising me that 1) my data bundles were nearly depleted and I should buy additional data, OR 2) that my Internet usage had been paused because I had used up all my data bundles.

Suddenly, as of beginning November, I started receiving accounts amounting to more than R7500 over 3 months.

I phoned the call centre on 17.Jan when I first started noticing the excessive amounts. A promise was made that a ticket would be opened and I would be called back within 24 hours. I phoned again on 18.Jan. NO ticket had been opened and "they were offline and could therefore not assist". (agent's name was Vanilla). I asked to be transferred to a manager and the call was promptly terminated (by the agent!!) When I phoned 10 minutes later, the system was magically online... I spoke with Brenda, who was rude and interrupted me the whole time.

I am going to lay a charge of at the police station today and close all my Vodacom accounst NOW.
