USELESS INCOMPETENT SERVICE

I applied for an ADSL installation on Friday the 10th of January and was so impressed with the service and the communication, especially considering the bad reputation Telkom usually receives. Then by Monday I received and SMS for the installation to take place on Wednesday the 15th of January. Wow was I impressed at the turn around time. However, when I did the application, Telkom could not pick up my street address as number 5 because I have a double stand, so many systems pick it up as number 7, including the municipality. I informed the lady taking the application of the situation numerous times and she made a note that would be picked up by the technical division who carries out the installation. So all excited for Wednesday and guess what, Telkom lived up to their useless service delivery reputation. As they cannot give you a time I had to arrange for someone to be at the house the whole day.By 4pm I figured no one was coming and called them. Apparently there was no number on my street. Imagine that! The matter was escalated with no feedback to me. And on my next follow up call apparently my order was cancelled???
