The last two weeks i have been getting really bad latency on my Telkom ADSL line. I have called Telkom on numerous occations and when and if i get through to an operator they cant seem to help me and keep bouncing me from one department to another.
Some of them have tried resetting my port with no change. The biggest problem is with online gaming where the ping goes through the roof and i lose big amounts of packets. I can't believe that i was stupid enough to change from my previous ISP to them. On the previous one i had lower line speeds but everything reacted much quicker and had no issues with online gaming.
I ran several tests and the problem seems to start at an exchange in Parow where the ping jumps to 600 ms.
Please Telkom, get your company in order and fix the issues.
