Customer Services is Customer Annoyances

I do a lot of international roaming and on my current trip to Zambia I have been trying to do a call divert for my south African number from my MTN phone in Zambia. I have called customer services which requires you to enter the number in question more at least twice every time you call in (27831809), then you listen to all the options and the only applicable one is to wait for a consultant (you have to dial 0). As soon as you dial 0 the call drops. I tried from more than one phone in Zambia with no luck. I emailed customer services. I had my partner also try the call divert instruction on the web from my phone in SA (it got an error message every time). He went in to an MTN store and was dealt with by a rude woman who refused to help him as it is not his phone. She would not even suggest any alternatives. I use this phone extensively whilst roaming (they can verify this on my bill) and I cannot get customer service to help at all. I have been a customer for more than 20 years and I am seriously thinking of now moving my account to Vodacom or Cell C.
