International Roaming misinformation

Contacted Autopage Call Centre on the 5th of December @ 17:51 to arrange International Roaming. The agent assured me it is already active on the package that I have and to make sure there is enough money on to use data. Only sms roaming active. Needless to say that when phoning again on the 8th to complain about NOT having international roaming, another agent explained in detail, without asking for the number in question for at least 5 minutes what the problem is, but, just buy an Australian SIM card, then the data facilities will work (another theory I have to test first). So every agent tells the customer what he/she feels like at that moment and the customer is left with a trial & error service - I have to make sense from 2 totally opposite theories. I'll most likely have to phone again tomorrow & get a third opinion because the phone is limited to MTN network & not compatible with international networks?
