On 20/12/2013 I visited my local Telkom shop in Montana.
I ordered Telkom Simple Broadband to be installed at my home.
I was told that my new line and ADSL would be installed within 7 days. (Rethink Fast...)
On 7/1/2014 I finally get a call to confirm that my ADSL would be installed on 10/1/2014, even got a confirmation SMS after the call.
I take leave from work to be available at home. Telkom installer never pitches up.
I call to enquire why I wasted a days leave only to be told that they have rescheduled the installation for 16/1/2014...
Not even a courtesy call to say you won't make it, nor to ask if the new date is acceptable.
Guess what? It's not!
This means I will have to take another days UNPAID leave and hope someone does their job.
This is an order for a NEW connection, I am not even connected yet and already having service delivery issues. I am starting to wonder if I made a mistake?
Installation within 7 days? It's already been 21 days! I am appalled.
