I was offered a open contract as an upgrade by a sub contractor to Vodacom. I have always been on a top up contract and was not informed about this new contract being an open contract. After my first account came I saw that I incurred a huge amount of Internet Data!

I complained and had to go through the usual bad call centre service where one consultant after the other passed the buck and I ended up with consultant nr. 7 who told me the truth of what really happened and that I was conned. Yet that Vodacom allows for my bank details and personal information to be given to external sub contractors to make sales on their behalf!

Eventually an executive client liaison from Vodacom contacted me, appologised for the incident and confirmed in writing that the cost incurred will be credited, my contract will be returned to a regular Top Up contract and once the final account is finalised that all cost incurred by the illegal open contract will be written off and a credit note given.

Weeks later I emailed her to see whether this has happened. No reply. When my account came it was not credited and an amount triple of what my installment should be was deducted. I see this as!
