I went to Vodacom Canal Walk last night, the 9 of Jan 2014 to upgrade my phone contract. I ask if they had stock of the phone that I am lookinf gor and they can cut my sim card as this phone uses a smaller sim. They indicated to yes. The person that help went to fetch the phone, and while busy with the contravt detail ask if he can go ahead and cut the sim, which I said yes. After all the paper work has been completed, it was indicated to me to go snd pay the R150 upgrade fee, which is normal, but that I needed to pay sim cutting of R100 as wel. Now, I was not told beforehand that they charge a cutting fee. I feel that I bring them business of upgrading mmy contract with them, and feels they could at least informed me before the the time of the sim cutting fee. To cut a sim cost more than a sim swap...
