I have recently taken out a new contract at MtN, Canal Walk. Asides from the queues always being slow, it took 2.5 weeks, interspersed with false delivery promises, to actually get my phone and for them to process everything.
I was told "your phone will be ready tomorrow / next week / on Thursday" umpteen times, and had to visit the store unnecessarily because they don't even have a customer care number. (FYI: I eventually got a number out of them: 021 527 2000 - which doesn't even go to the actual store!)
A company selling cutting edge telecommunications technology can't even offer the most basic customer service.
When I eventually did get my phone finalised my contract, they didn't bother to RICA it - I had to go into another MtN branch the following day. Not to mention my boyfriend's phone, where the assistant didn't process his sim swap correctly, resulting in ANOTHER trip to Canal Walk to sort it out - on which they told him, "Oh, we can't process sim swaps between 6 and 9pm"... well I'd like to know why they couldn't inform us of that fact the night before.
Then... I only got one third of the airtime / data / smses that the contract promised! Not acceptable!
