Ad credit record not happy

Let me begin by saying that i never had a problem with vodacom till now. On the 24th of desember 2013 i went to vodacom in the mooirivier mall to tell them that my banking details has changed because my savings account from where the debit order is deducted has changed to a money builder account. They asked if it still have a account number and i replied yes. No problem they said it will go through. On the 30th Des. I called customer care and spoke to a female to asked why the debit didnt go through, she told me it did. On the 3rd Jan. I called the cusomer care again, and again spoke to a female to ask why it still did not go through she told me that it "bounced" ithen updated my details to the cheque accound i have and she told me end of Jan. It will just be debited twice. I had no problem with this and asked if there will be a penalty she replied No! Today i get a call telling me that if i dont pay before the 20th i will have a bad credit record??? So dissapointed so i called customer care again to make the payment and they toldme that i already have a bad record??? I just want my name clear it was not my fault please help!!!
