I ordered a telkom Analogue line in August/September 2013, after a month of hearing nothing from telkom I contacted the call centre and was told that my area required "infrastructure development". However, the call centre agent was unable to provide me with any further details. I then discovered that another unit in my complex had obtained a working telkom line and I thought that it was not possible to obtain a line. I phoned the call centre again, this time the agent informed me that "Infrastructure Development" was scheduled to commence on the 28 Dec 2013. I phoned the call centre again in Jan 2014 to follow up on the "Infrastructure Development", only to learn that it had not even started and was no postponed to after their year end (31 March 2014).

This is absolutely shocking and "putting the customer first" does not resonate within Telkom's business plan. There are a great deal of people within Greenstone who would love to have a Telkom line, but simply cannot get one because Telkom refuse to service the area. Greenstone is a large residential and commercial business area and I cannot believe that attitude that Telkom has adopted in resolving this problem.
