I applied for a Telkom residential 4meg ADSL line to be installed at my residence. When I applied we double checked to make sure that there will be ADSL access in my area. I was assured by the consultant and technicians that they only needed to connect a line to my residence and that I would have internet access in no time! THIS WAS A BLATANT LIE!!! It has been almost two month now and after going to extreme lengths to have a pole put up at my residence and countless calls (costing me an arm and a leg as I cannot phone for free from my uninstalled residential line!!!) to Telkom explaining the urgency for getting connected NOTHING has happend! I cannot count the times I have been to by telkom officials and am now left wondering If I should cancel my order!?!?!?! If only there was another option in service providers!
