My last month's Telkom bill seemed a little higher than usual. So upon scanning through my invoice, I came upon an amount of R149 which was listed as "Directory entries Info 2050 Info3 TYP". So I phoned the call-centre and was told that somebody was supposed to have called me and asked my permission before activating this, which was never done.
I asked for it to be cancelled, but the operator said that it was handled by a 3rd party, to whom I was allegedly transferred. However, this 3rd-party apparently does not answer any of their calls, and so I had no success.
This month I noticed that this amount is still being charged on my invoice, and I am not intending to spend another 20 minutes on hold in a futile attempt to resolve this. Please take care of it!
