Conflicting information and incorrectly billed

Hi

I went to the Telkom branch in Kempton Park to open a Telkom account and have ADSL line installed at my new house. I was guided by a lady and she suggested I take the Calling plan option as I do not have to pay an installation fee on this plan. I also bought a Telkom modem cash at the branch.

Surprise, surprise when I got my first invoice yesterday, and there was a 'service fee' for R618 on my account. When I called the accounts department at Telkom, they told me this has been charged on my account because I did not take a modem on contract with Telkom. I do not see these fees anywhere on the contract I signed, so it's making it extremely difficult for me to go on someone's word that is incorrect or I'm incorrectly billed.

Unfortunately as I didn't budget for this installation amount as I was promptly told numerous times I will not be billed for an installation amount, I want an answer on this ASAP. My debit order amount that is set on R700 is not going to pay for this invoice amount as it is now double. I'm running a business from home, and cannot afford for my line to be cut due to Telkom's incompetency.
