I got a contract on the 2nd of January from vodacom clearwater with a Sony Xperia Z1 and took the phone home upon opening the box I saw the phones back was heavily cracked I immediately drove back to get the phone replaced and was told that they wont even send it to vodacom as a out of box failure and that I would have to pay to repair it myself as I cannot prove that I didn't break it. The next morning I had to drive back as my Sim card was not working only to find out they also sold me a dud sim card they did a sim swap told me leave ithe phone off and insert the sim card in 3 hours which I did only to find it didn't work and I had to drive back to clearwater again. After having to wait almost half a hour to be helped the technician had no idea what was going on and one of the employees had to call vodacom activation center all I got from them was give it another hour I waited another hour and the problem was still not fixed so I went back again only to be told I will need to wait another 24 hours. This is not how I feel a customer should be treated and that vodacom is a bunch of will go to MTN or Cellc next time.
