I approached Vodacom Umhlanga with a problem on my phone, explaining to them that I live two hours from their offices and if they could please try and look at the phone, tell me what's wrong and try and fix it on site. Because I live so far from the offices, I was hoping that they could just look at the problem and give me advise from there. The person who I dealt with had no interest in my problem of having to drive so far and insisted that the phone had to be checked, sent to JHB for repairs and that the repair would take 10 days. I reluctantly left the phone and drove back 2 hours home. On return I discovered a sms from Vodacom to say that the phone was repaired 3/4 quarters of hour after I left it. This now means another 2 hour trip there and 2 hours back to collect the phone. Could Vodacom staff not have been a little more considerate and less grumpy and taken my request into consideration?
