Good morning,
I have had a data contract with Vodacom for nearly 2 years. On the contract I got multiple SIM cards which allow me to operate multiple devices on the same contract.
Middle of December I upgraded the contract from an open 2gig contract to a Top up 5gig contract. I got a new router and an additional nano SIM card for a new iPad I bought.
I activated the additional nano sim on 27 December and went on leave. Great was my surprise when I returned on 2 January to find that all my SIM cards except the new Nano SIM card have been de-activated.
Upon speaking to Vodacom, it turn out that you cannot have multi data SIM cards on a top-up contract.
I requested that the contract is changed back within 24 hours to allow me to continue normal operations, after which I was informed by the manager that it can only happen on the first of the month. When I asked what the alternative is to keep me going, he just insisted that he want to listen to the call first...
I cannot believe such bad service, especially to clients that have been with them for 14 years.
I have cancelled one contract with them already, I can feel more cancellations coming...
