MONTHLY CHARGE FOR CALLER ID

I have just switched to a Vodacom contract and learned that I will now have to pay an additional R9, 50 a month just to see who's calling me even though I have their details in my contact list! Why should I have to pay for something that other service providers give for free?? If I had known this, I would not have become a Vodacom subscriber. It may be a small amount but it's the principal of the matter - why is this not told to customers upfront? Just another money making racket!
