Vodacom Caller ID Extra Fee

I have recently taken out a Contract with Vodacom for a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and I noticed that all my calls I received were showing unknown number.

After calling the Vodacom call centre, they told me I have to activate it for a fee of R9.50 a month! This made me extremely upset. I have been a customer through vodacom for many years, both prepaid and contract, and this is the first time I hear of this ridiculous fee. I refuse to pay for something I never got charged for previously. If I am forced to pay this, this will be the LAST contract and service I use Vodacom with. MTN do not charge there customers an extra fee at all!

I took the contact deal because of the low price, I refuse to spend more than I originally intended and the person that helped me set up my contract never mentioned anything like this I would need to pay.

I would like the caller Id to be activated on my contact and I do not want to see the fee come off my account. I do not understand why this needs to even be a monthly fee at all, there is literally nothing anyone needs to do monthly after the initial button press to activate.
