I have been a corporate client of MTN since 1996 and since 1998 my monthly account has never been less than R 1500 although my average is probably R2000 per month. Thus a great client for MTN.
My cellphone was on 27 Dec 2013 and I am viable for a new upgrade on 1 Feb 2014. I phoned MTN on 30 Dec 2013 and asked them if I can upgrade on 1 Jan 2014 since I must have a smart phone due to my type of work and I do not want to buy or open a new account just for 30 days.
Short and sweet of it was "no, end of discussion"
This is rather a pathetic attitude. Needless to say I am going to Vodacom today to discuss porting my number to them.
