I was shopping in Menlyn Shopping Mall yesterday when cornered by a Deja Vu sales rep. His manipulation and emotional game had me buying something just to get him away from me. He also harassed me by touching me far too much and making me feel bad for not being able to afford his products. I am really upset about his audacity to force and guilt me into buying one of his products. To top it off, he charged me R900 for it and after research on the internet, the product is only $40. I intend to go back and return the product for a full refund as allowed by the Consumer Protection Act within the stipulated "cooling-off period". Over charging for a product is also a direct violation of the Consumer Protection Act. I'm sure many others have fallen prey to unfair tactics used by sales reps and I urge you to know your rights. It can save you a lot of irritation and money.
