Today I received an sms that a new telephone line was activated in my name. I did not fill out any application for a new line, upon going to vodacom and asking how this is possible as I did not sign for anything, wasn't near a vodacom shop, they said they don't know. How can someone else open a new contract in my name, without proof if ID, without proof of residence, without a signature!!! Please explain to me how this happens. It took an hour and a half sitting at vodacom to get this cancelled. Vodacom is pathetic. I cannot see how you can allow new contracts without the proof of the owner. How do you condole so openly?
