Virgin Mobile South Africa
Debit orders still going off after contract ended

2010-12-09: I signed a contract with Virgin Mobile for R320 per month for 2 years.
2012-10-15: I send an email to [Email Removed] stating clearly that I want to terminate the contract at the end of the 2 year period. Virgin Mobile responded to my email and said I should call the Retention department. I tried to do that in vain (3x calls different days/times) as nobody answer the calls.
2012-11-12: I finally got through and requested to terminate the contract via phone.
2012-11-13: I send another email again (just to be sure) to [Email Removed] and [Email Removed]
2012-11-15: Mpho Mamogobo responded:

Kindly advise if you would like the number to still be cancelled after the end date.
The end date will be 09/12/2012 with the current handset balance of R 310.00.

A reminder that your service fees and calls are invoiced and debited in arrears. Please note Will have another debit to go off after cancellation.

2013-01-30: Virgin mobile is still debiting my account
2013-02-01: The phone number is still active. It seems like the contract was never terminated as requested.
