Complaint / review / scam report

Our telkom internet line was hit by lightning and the fault reported for the first time on 15 December 2013. A call was logged and after not getting any response by 18 December 2013 another call was logged and we were promised the matter was escalated. Today, 21 December 2013 I arrive back from the shops to find a Telkom technician repairing the neighbours faulty line but refusing to assist us as the job was not allocated to him. How unorganised is the institution if they cannot even send the technician to attend to two faults in the same street on the same day. I immidiately phoned Telkom again just to be advised that our call, after a week has not even been allocated to a Technician. What services are we allegedly paying for, for the time we cannot access our internet services. My husband often works from home but had to waste unnecessary money on fuel and valuable time going to the office 100 km away from home due to the fact that we do not have internet. UNACCEPTABLE!!!
