All i wanted was an internet line

I recently asked Telkom to install an internet line. I assumed it was installed properly but when I plugged in my router (DuoPlus 300WR) the connection drops intermittently, meaning the connection would stay consistent for 20-30mins then would drop no internet. I called the technical support centre and they gave me some advice which worked fine for a while but then the fault started cropping up again. I then logged a fault on the Telkom website on the 6/10/13. I followed up on the 7/10/13 with the call centre to find out where I am in the queue. An agent said a technician was at the premises but no one was home; this is where it gets annoying,
1.if the technician was here why not call me and arrange another time YOU HAVE MY DETAILS? after all it is my line fault.2.Yesterday (10/10/13) an agent calls to confirm a time with a technician, I tell the agent 13:00 on the 11/10/13, I call today to find out where the technician is; an agent tells me that the call has been logged for the 12/10/13 AND THAT, IF THERE ARE NO TECHNICIANS WORKING ON WEEKENDS IN YOUR AREA THE CALL WILL ONLY BE DONE ON MONDAY.Why Telkom, why is it so hard to fix this. I know have an internet line that I cant use.
