Terrible service, all round

I have been running around for the past few days trying to get a phone replaced that I bought last week. The replacement was approved within 24 hrs yet I am told that I have to wait until the store manager is alerted as to how much Vodacom will pay him or something to that effect. I have been given numbers, such as 082111 to 0821905, 0821082 and 0821946 yet NO ONE has been able to deal with this.

This is one of the most disjointed processes I have ever had to go through, more than 15 calls and over 10 emails, but I still have not spoken to the "right" person.

My position is that seeing that the phone I bought was faulty, I should be able to pick up my new phone now, as it has been approved. It has absolutely nothing to do with me whether or not the shop manager will have a financial discrepancy, otherwise people should just be given a new phone at the repair centre. The purchase of the phone took less than 20min, yet when I have to get a replacement phone for a faulty unit, I am told I have to wait a week? Even after it has been approved?

How does no one know who is accountable? Does "the system" run by itself?

So efficient in making sales, customer relations are a nightmare
