MTN UPGRADE POLICY

I upgraded from blackberry anytime 100 to iphone 5 anytime 350.I yet to receive the data bundles or airtime in line with my new package. I phoned 808 and was told that I would receive them on the 21 feb. I was not informed of such a policy when I got the phone from the branch, now I have to wait 20 days to receive my bundles.
Previously when I bought the blackberry got everything on the same day, so when did this new policy start? why was I not informed when I received the phone. Now I have to buy pre-paid bundles even though I am a contract client! I tried to check on they website of such a policy and I did not find it. I am thinking of returning the phone and terminating my relationship with mtn!
