For the last four weeks I have been trying to submit a claim to MTN Insurance for a lost cell phone. I have emailed the claim form numerous times to the stated email address, I have faxed it to the number stated on their website from two different sources.
I then called the number only number that I can find anywhere for MTN Insurance (083 123 6084) which says my claim has not been received (after roughly 6 attempts of sending it through different means). I have held on the line for between 20 and 30 minutes with no answer, also multiple times. I have seen this complaint from many other people too.
I then emailed the MTN customer care who said they would forward this on to the manager in the insurance department - that was a week ago and still no response. I sent another email - no response.
Please can someone tell me what action I can take in this situation - I can not believe that an insurance company can get away with this. They are literally just ignoring any attempt to even lay a claim. There are so many Acts surrounding the industry there must be something I can do?
